DESCRIPTION:Juggerknot Theater\, creators of last year’s wildly successful “Miami Motel Stories\,” are back to tell the story of another iconic Miami neighborhood. \n“Wynwood Stories” is an immersive theater experience by local playwright Juan C. Sanchez and directed by New York City-based theater director Tai Thompson. You’ll cover Wynwood’s history from becoming the third largest garment district in the country to the arrival of Wynwood Walls aboard a bus. Complimentary cocktails provided by Coconut Cartel and Drakes Handcrafted Organic Vodka. Each bus route offers a different experience. \nTickets are $75 per person. Student Rush tickets are $25 and may be available ten minutes before each show at the Box Office\, based on availability. Students must show a valid ID. DESCRIPTION:Miami Dade College’s Teatro Prometeo presents La Verdadera Historia de Pedro Navaja\, created by Puerto Rican playwright and director Pablo Cabrera with music by Pedro Rivera-Toledo. Prometeo brings this legendary musical back to the stage for the first time in 15 years—running Friday\, April 5 through Sunday\, April 14 at MDC’s Koubek Center in the heart of Little Havana. This play is in Spanish. \nInspired by John Gay’s The Begger’s Opera and Ruben Blade’s iconic salsa song\, the musical was first performed by Teatro del 60 in Puerto Rico in the early 1980s before heading to New York\, where it made its way to Broadway\, garnered critical acclaim and boasted sold-out performances across Puerto Rico\, the Dominican Republic\, Venezuela\, Cuba\, Ecuador and many other Latin American and Caribbean countries. \nPrometeo is adding its own twist. The show will feature more than 25 dancers\, actors\, and singers\, including acclaimed actress Beatriz Valdés (La Bella de la Alhambra\, Azul y no tan Rosa)\, singer-songwriter Manolo Ramos (Ser tu Amigo\, Dueña y Señora)\, powerhouse singer Karen Martello\, and a live salsa band directed by international musician\, Yusa.  The show is directed by Teatro Prometeo’s Edgar García. \nTickets are $40 general admission; $20 seniors/students/MDC employees; $10 MDC students. Purchase tickets at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3576453 or call 800-838-3006. \nValet parking is $6; or arrive early and look for street parking.
